John M. Kilgore
1932-2011
Born Sept. 25, 1932 in Dow, Okla. to James R. and Thelma M. Kilgore, John M. Kilgore passed away July 15, 2011.
John was the second of seven boys and one sister. He was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, Jimmy.
He is survived by his brothers, Roger, Rudy, Wayne, Kenneth and Jerry; and sister, DeLana.
John enlisted in the Army at the age of 17. He served his boot camp at Fort Riley, Kan.
Robert Eugene Frazer
1923-2011
Robert Eugene Frazer was born in Tecumeseh, Neb. on July 13, 1923 to Eugene Cooper Sherman and Lema Armona Darnell Sherman and passed away in Bishop on July 14, 2011.
He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II as a signalman and underwater demolition team member in 13 invasions on the U.S.S. Doyan.

Esther Mae Barnes
1922-2011
Esther Mae Barnes was born March 17, 1922 in Osawatomie, Kan. to Lloyd and Ethel Wollen. She passed away June 28, 2011. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and teacher.
She is survived by her sister, Nancy Tinker of Visalia; brother, Linton Wollen of Merced; daughters, Alison Barnes and Leslie Troncale; granddaughter, Alyssa Coleman; and three great-grandchildren.
Lilian K. Davis
1922-2011
After a long battle with cancer, Lillian K. Davis passed away on June 27, 2011 with her two daughters by her side.
Lillian was born Nov. 19, 1922 to George and Elisabeth Kaufmann in Detroit, Mich.She graduated from Denby High School in Detroit in 1942. Lillian married her best friend LeRoy Davis on May 1, 1944. They were married 40 years.

Sally DePerro

Just before sunrise on Saturday morning, July 16, 2011, Sally DePerro left her beloved Eastern Sierra.
Sally was born in Pomona, Calif. on Sept. 28, 1950. She was raised in southern California and married her high school sweetheart, John. Shortly after they married, John and Sally went on a wonderful tour of the United States to find the perfect place to live and raise their family. They eventually settled in Mono County where they lived for 34 years.
Sandra ‘Sandee’ Lee Dohnel
1959-2011
Sandee passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on July 21, 2011. Sandee was born May 28, 1959 in Santa Monica and raised in Lafayette for most of her childhood.
The love of her life and her greatest joy was her son, Justin Paul Dohnel.

Isaura Franco-Gonzalez, age 74, resident of Bishop for 31 years, born in Picachos, Nayarit, Mexico on June 10, 1938, passed away on July 18, 2011 in Pomona.
A great mother, strong woman and humble person who loved flowers, she was the glue that held the Franco family together and will continue to be.
Dolores ‘Dee’ Daniels
1941-2011
Dolores “Dee” Daniels, 69, resident of Bishop for 18 years, born in Inglewood on Sept. 3, 1941, passed away on July 18, 2011 at Renown Medical Center.
Dee was retired from the Mammoth Lakes Water District, where she worked for 16 years, and was a resident of Mammoth Lakes from 1984-1994.

Juanita Jean Butterbredt Kinney, age 62, resident of Bishop for 34 years, born in Kelso, Calif., on May 18, 1949, passed away on July 14, 2011 at Northern Inyo Hospital in Bishop.
