Lawrence Roane Weisenberg
1954-2011
Roane was born Feb. 2, 1954 in Richmond, Va. to Frank Weisenberg and Jean K. “O’Cano.” He is survived by his loving wife of more than 11 years, April “Whitlock” Weisenberg.
Roane was a gentle soul, always with a smile on his face, he knew no strangers. Roane’s mission in life was to teach the world about Love, Friendship, Kindness, Gentleness and Truthfulness.
Diann Stever
1945-2011
Diann Stever, aged 66, a resident of Bishop for 33 years, born in Detroit, Mich. on May 5, 1945, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 20, 2011.
Diann was raised in Tarzana and lived various places in Southern California prior to moving to Bishop in 1978. She worked at Safeway, later Vons, in Bishop and Mammoth Lakes and retired after 30 years of service.
Lorraine Julia (Hauck) Pischel
1927-2011
Lorraine Julia (Hauck) Pischel died Oct. 20, 2011 at Southern Inyo Hospital. Lorraine was born Sept. 4, 1927 in Beulah, N.D. to Fred and Rose (Braun) Hauck. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Anna Goldade and Cleo Mettler; and is survived by sisters, Josephine Zeigler and Kathleen Breneman; and brother, Wilfred Hauck.
Lorraine grew up and attended school in the Beulah, N.D. area where she met and married Harold Walter Pischel on Oct. 25, 1949.
Pauline Elizabeth (Huarte) Pedro
1929-2011
Pauline was born in Round Valley, Calif. on Sept. 9, 1929 and passed away on Oct. 23, 2011. She was 82 years old. She was a lifelong resident of Bishop.

Born July, 15, 1993, Braedon died Thursday, Oct. 13 due to complications after a car accident.
Bill Charles Sweat
1930-2011
Bill Sweat, 81, passed away Oct. 6, 2011 with his wife of 46 years, Margo, at his side in Medford, Ore. Bill was born to Laura Mae and Jasper Newton Sweat on Jan. 9, 1930 in Hartshorn, Okla. Bill moved with his family to Shafter in 1939. After three years the family moved to Lone Pine. At an early age Bill started repairing cars. In 1949 he married Caroline Hancock. From that marriage came three children, Susan, Bill and Shari.

Ardis A. Whitaker, 83, passed away Oct. 13, 2011 in Carson City. Ardis was born Jan. 16, 1928 in Longview, Wash. to Harry and Susan Cameron. She has been residing in Fallon, Nev. since 2009, moving there from Bishop.

David Eric Richards
1964-2011
Born Oct. 6, 1964, David Eric Richards, 47, passed away Oct. 11, 2011 in Reno.
David was a resident of Big Pine for 29 years.
Dave was a very caring, loving father, brother, uncle and friend to many. He was a hardworking man who cared for his family and loved ones. He enjoyed spending quality time with his two daughters, being outdoors, maintaining his yard, cooking and relaxing on his porch listening to music.
David has touched many hearts and will be greatly missed.
Mary Dorothy Daughtry-Payne
1930-2011
Mary Daughtry-Payne, better known as Dottie, passed away peacefully at her home, on the evening of Oct. 7, 2011. She will be remembered for her warm heart and kind smile by all who knew her. Dottie was born April 11, 1930 in Mobile, Ala. to Nicholas and Regina Desmond. She was one of eight children and shared special bonds with all her siblings.
