Andrea J. Garrison-Erickson
Andrea J. Garrison- Erickson, 62, of Coleville, passed away on Sept. 10, 2014 at her home on the Garrison Ranch in Antelope Valley, Coleville. Andrea was born Jan. 7, 1952 in Schurz, Nev. to Andrew âAndyâ Garrison and Gertrude Tom-Garrison of Coleville.
From a very early age Andrea was the picture of strength and determination. After recovering from childhood arthritis, she went on to lead the typical life of a child growing up on a ranch; horseback riding, playing in the fields and keeping her siblings in line.
Maureen Mary Cardenas
Maureen Mary Cardenas was born July 30, 1957 in Bishop and passed away Aug. 31, 2014 at the Northern Inyo Hospital in Bishop where she was undergoing emergency treatment for multiple health reasons. She was the youngest of nine children born to Connie Mack and Rosalind Marie Denver of Bishop.
Paul Oscar Selvidge
Born Aug. 19, 1954 at St. Joseph Hospital in Santa Ana, Paul Oscar Selvidge, a loving father, friend and family man, passed away Aug. 30, 2014 at his home in Bishop.
Paul worked at Northern Inyo Hospital as a custodian for 15 years. He also did volunteer work on the board of representative for IMACA and finished out his days working as the apartment manager for IMACAâs senior apartment complex on Clarke Street for more than a decade.
Harry Ross Mathers
Harry Ross Mathers, 83 of Carlin, Nev. passed away Aug. 31 after a long battle with lung cancer and other complications. Harry was born on July 2, 1931 in Knowles, Okla. during the dust bowl days. His family left the state in 1933 and moved to the Mockingbird Canyon area of Riverside to start a new life there. With his parentsâ permission, he joined the Navy at 17 and served aboard the USS Sperry during the Korean War.
Joann Barbee Stanford, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 at home in Bishop surrounded by family after a long illness. She was born in San Diego on July 16, 1934 to Richard and Helen Shanks, later followed by brothers, Richard and Robert.
Pearline Kimmis, 89 of La Habra, passed away peacefully at her home. Born in Blythe, she moved to Lone Pine in the early 1970s to be closer to her mom, Minnie Wells, where she resided until 2012.
Pearline is survived by her daughter, Susan Montes and husband Joseph; extended family, the Bahktas of Lone Pine; good friend Kathy Lewis of Medford, Ore.; son, Dennis Harrison and family; daughter, Wanda Crandall and family; brother, Don Richardson, wife Marilda and family; and niece, Carolyn Brodsky and family.

Franklin Earl West Jr. was born in Clarksburg, W.V., on March 16, 1935 where his grandmother had a little restaurant called the Cozy Corner. In later years, his mom had a little Restaurant called the HI-HO. Oh the stories he would tell.

Jo Ann Williams Brackett, 75, of Murphy, N.C. passed away after a lengthy battle with Alzheimerâs on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014. She was surrounded by family and friends.
Virginia Marie Morgan
Longtime Mono City resident Virginia Morgan passed away on May 29, 2014. For the last 11 years Virginia has lived in Fallon, Nev.
Virginia was born in 1924 in Erie, Pa. During World War II she worked in a munitions factory producing bomb parts for the war effort. She later moved to Lone Pine where she met and married her husband of 40 years, Babe Morgan. They lived in Old Mammoth, June Lake, and Lee Vining before moving to Mono City.
