July 30 will be Dr. Carl Lind‚Äôs last day at Bishop Veterinary Hospital.

In response to citizen concerns, the 2011-12 Inyo County Grand Jury took a closer look at the process for appointing or electing citizen representation to the more than 30 Special Districts in Inyo County.

Replacing Chief Bart Chambers, Paul Melendrez began his new position as the head of the local CalFire division last week.
Melendrez steps into the top post from his position as a battalion chief for the CalFire San Bernardino-Inyo-Mono Unit‚Äôs Owens Valley Division.
