Texas-style hits ESGSL tourney

July 23, 2013

While the weather was none too cooperative and the format challenging, the Eastern Sierra Girls Softball Texas-Style One Pitch Tournament, literally, blew through the City Park this past weekend.
The aptly-named Texas tourney requires runners to round the bases backwards. Even by mid-afternoon Saturday, as the eight teams started their second round of games, runners were still heading down the first base line, catching themselves and cutting across the infield to third.
Just NDNs came out on top, beating the Jacksons in the final championship game on Sunday.
