County close to recycling goal

With Earth Day approaching on April 22, Inyo County Waste Management Director Scott Eagan gave local leaders an overview of local recycling and diversion program and asked for any ideas and suggestions.
The Inyo County Board of Supervisors was told Tuesday that the county and its residents are able to divert 26 percent of the county’s waste from the landfills through recycling anything from wood, tires and paper, to electrical waste and food products that are composted.
