Louis Mark Mannatt
1923-2012
Our dad, Louis Mark Mannatt, passed away in Southern Inyo Hospital Monday night, April 23, 2012. He was 89, yet still filled with a sense of adventure. Dad was quite a positive figure in the community and was loved very deeply by every family member.
For the final installment in The Inyo Register’s series of candidate statements, California Assembly District 26 incumbent Connie Conway shares with voters her hopes, goals and plans for the future if re-elected.
Conway is running for re-election against Democrat Jonathon Louis Sosa, a student from Visalia.
Both Conway and Sosa were invited to submit statements. Sosa never responded, despite attempts to contact him by mail, phone and e-mail.

Itâs free. Itâs open to the public. Itâs an enlightening, edifying and entertaining weekend chock-full of special inter-generational activities. It is the 43rd Annual Manzanar Pilgrimage, converging at Manzanar National Historic Site April 27-29 to commemorate âa unique chapter of American history,â said Bruce Embrey, Manzanar Committee co-chair.

County leaders are concerned that the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power is not being specific enough about how much water it is planning to pump this run-off year.
Each year, the LADWP is required by the Inyo County -Los Angeles Long-Term Water Agreement to complete an annual operations plan and deliver it to the county by April 20 for review.
In this yearâs installment, rather than providing specific pumping projections for each of its Owens Valley wellfields, the LADWP provided the county with a range that it may pump, including a minimum and maximum number.
