In a cross-county preseason rumble, the Lone Pine volleyball team swept Bishop Tuesday.
Despite the Lady Eagles winning three straight games, the Lady Broncos made a fight out of the third game.
But in the first game, Lone Pine’s hitting and serving overpowered the Lady Broncos. Serving was key for Lone Pine as the Lady Eagles were 63-65 from the service line.
The Lady Eagles came out on top, winning the first game, 25-13.
Lone Pine jumped ahead, 6-1, in the second game. Bishop fought back, cutting the Lady Eagles’ lead to 2.
But Lone Pine extended its lead to 13-6 with an 8-0 run.
